NWK does its part for rural safety

PDFPrintE-mail

The commitment of the NWK agri-services group to rural safety was emphasised once more by its share in a donation of R456 000 to Agri SA’s Agri Securitas Trust Fund.

The donation is the result of the established cooperation between NWK, Afgri, Senwes and OFM Stereo, who have since 2015 joined forces annually to generate funds to the benefit of Agri Securitas. NWK and its partners handed the cheque to Japie Grobler, chairman of the Agri Securitas Trust Fund, at the Agri SA congress in Pretoria on 12 October this year.

According to Agri SA, the safety of the agricultural community is one of their biggest priorities. The trust fund attempts to make supplementary contributions to improve the safety of the agricultural community so that the sector can continue in greater safety to produce food and fibre for the country’s population.

‘NWK is proud to work with Agri Securitas and the other partners on the safety of farming communities – the heartbeat of NWK’s business in North West and Mpumalanga,’ said Theo Rabe, chief executive officer.

NWK also made a contribution in support of Agri NW’s rural safety initiatives in North West in July this year.
